The Leading Change Journalism Bursary program invites young persons from the commonwealth region, who are keen to develop their journalism skills and experience while building a portfolio.
Award Information
5 bursaries of up to £900 will be awarded to one young person from each commonwealth regions.
Eligibility Criteria
- The young people from the following commonwealth regions can apply: Africa, Asia, Canada and Europe, Caribbean and Americas and Pacific.
- To be considered for the bursary, participants need to tell the usage of money to prepare content for Leading Change, be it written articles, photo-journalism, radio or video content.
- Participants can send their pitch in any format- from a Word doc to a short video.
- The pitch may include the following-
- Stories to be covered;
- People to be featured;
- Places to be reported from- giving sense of those places to people who’ve never been there;
- Number of stories that can be produced in a respective format and duration;
- Interesting features in the stories to attract the young leaders in commonwealth;
- Lessons to be learnt or inspirations to be taken from the stories for the audience; and
- Total bursary amount being applied for.
