International Criminal Court (ICC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Officer in The Hague, Netherlands.
The Project Officer will serve in the Planning and Operations Section of the Investigation Division of the Office of the Prosecutor and will support the Director of Investigation Division and his management team.
ICC’s mission is to help end impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Project Officer will perform the following functions-
- Co-ordinate the activities of the administrative staff within the Investigation Division (ID), including the delegation of tasks and organization of activities.
- Co-ordinate the planning, priorities setting and reporting activities to ensure the collection of management information and implementation of projects to support the strategic planning and operational activities of the Division.
- Facilitate project management processes and ensure that project milestones are met on time and within the approved budget and engaged resources are utilized efficiently; implement quality assurance methods are in place to address change management and organizational updates.
- Act as the focal point for procurement related activities, including liaison between the selected vendors and ID management.
- Perform any other duties are required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- An advanced university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field. OGC’s Prince2 certification or PMI’s PMP certification is also required.
- A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of five years (seven years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible professional experience in supporting activities related to strategic planning, performance indicators, performance improvement, change management, finance and administration.
- Excellent decision-making skills, with a well-developed ability to balance interests and translate general strategic plans into concrete actions for the division/units.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative and client orientation.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with flexibility and ability to adjust in a highly dynamic environment.
- Ability to work under stress conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to keep strict standards of confidentiality.
- Professional integrity.
- Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required. Working language of the other language is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish) would be considered an additional asset.
