Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Operations Assistant in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The Senior Operations Assistant will be responsible to perform full range of operational and administrative support duties for the assigned unit at Pakistan Resident Mission (PRM) and to provide support for a variety of specialized duties relating to economic monitoring, assessment, and analytical work and selected aspects of the country operational program.
The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Operations Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Assist in information and data collection for economic work including for preparation of regular briefings and presentations on the economy.
- Provide assistance for country programming including country operations business plan, country partnership strategy and associated tasks.
- Support TA and loan processing including assisting in epos and related it systems.
- Support coordination for ADB sponsored events including processing of nominations and associated logistic support.
- Ensure the office filing systems and records are properly maintained and updated in accordance with an existing framework for easy retrieval.
- Attend to various requirements and setting-up arrangements for conferences, seminars, and meetings.
- Perform certain standard activities such as maintaining adequate stocks of office supplies as required.
- Relieve other Operations Assistants when they are absent, as required.
- Perform any other duties as may be required and reflected in the incumbent’s work plan, such as retrieving files/documents for preparation of reports, preparing tables and charts for reports, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in business studies, social sciences and related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Familiarity with basic economic concepts and data sources.
- Working knowledge of assigned area.
- Good typing skills.
- Good memo composition and editing skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Familiar with computer systems used generally in multilateral organizations.
- Ability to manage priorities and workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
