The Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in Pune, India.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will serve the critical role of collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, testimonials and key information to demonstrate the successes and outcomes of the India EHS+ Center.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will perform the following functions-
- Establish a program-wide monitoring and evaluation system that incorporates donor requirements and EHS+ Network standards. Establish core M&E protocols, document templates, procedures, reporting guidelines, etc.
- Document and test ISC key programmatic and theory of change model.
- Establish system of regular program review based on collected data. Make recommendations to senior management on how to improve program design and implementation.
- Develop a logic model for the India EHS+ Center. Review the logic model with program staff and update accordingly on an annual basis.
- Ensure the project has well developed measurable indicators (both qualitative and quantitative).
- Coordinate the implementation of program evaluations/assessments such as baseline and annual surveys, mid-term and final evaluations.
- Work with trainers to develop quality knowledge tests for each course.
- Employ a mixed methods approach to data collection, including conducting surveys, focus groups, and phone and in-person interviews, etc.
- Train field staff on M&E best practices. Ensure that field staff has adequate skills to meet organizational M&E requirements.
- Conduct site visits to ensure that data collection methodologies are valid, to conduct staff training, and other tasks as needed.
- Ensure that all project data collection and M&E activities are in compliance with donor requirements.
- Support development of program reports, proposals, and other materials, taking the lead on any language involving M&E and program results.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- At least 5 years related professional experience in M&E in a project-based setting.
- Master’s degree in the social sciences or a relevant field.
- Strong skills in social research and/or evaluation methods.
- Demonstrated experience in using quantitative and/or qualitative research software.
- Experience in developing logic models and/or program indicators.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively convey M&E concepts and results to various audiences.
- Ability to travel (min. 20% of time, including international).
- Flexibility and humor; ability to make creative use of limited resources to accomplish M&E goals.
- Fluency in English and Hindi and/or Marathi.
