Gavi is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Officer, Evaluation in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Programme Officer, Evaluation will manage the design, conduct, and analysis of activities related to evaluations of Gavi policies and programmes.
Gavi’s mission is to save children’s lives and protecting people’s health by increasing equitable use of vaccines in lower-income countries.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Officer, Evaluation will perform the following functions-
- Manage communications with evaluation stakeholders, bidders and consultants.
- Track and synthesize literature on innovation in evaluation to help inform evaluation study design and methods.
- Draft Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for evaluation studies.
- Coordinate consultations on draft RFPs.
- Coordinate procurement and adjudication processes for evaluation studies.
- Coordinate steering committees for evaluation studies.
- Manage consultations and review processes related to draft reports from evaluation studies.
- Review final reports and other deliverables related to evaluation studies.
- Track and manage budgets for evaluation studies.
- Lead the management of documentation related to evaluation studies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree or higher in public health or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Good knowledge of evaluation study design, frameworks and methods.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to manage consultants, budgets and deliverables.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a variety of activities simultaneously, work within teams and take initiative.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- French or other languages are an asset.
