Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Marketing and Communications Associate in New York, United States.
The Marketing & Communications Associate will play a significant role in the success of EDF’s Corporate Partnerships, and in particular the EDF Climate Corps program by expanding the visibility of EDF in the corporate sustainability space.
EDF’s mission is to preserve the natural systems on which all life depends.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Associate will perform the following functions-
- Support the Marketing & Communications team on the overall marketing strategy for CPP.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications team, as well as the project team, to collect and develop relevant stories and content for marketing initiatives.
- Provide daily support for social media activities, including writing and editing for the EDF+Business blog and engaging with audiences on Twitter, Face book and LinkedIn.
- Play an active role in CPP’s media relations strategy by monitoring relevant media coverage, creating media contact lists and contributing to the development of pitches and story ideas.
- Coordinate with organizations participating in EDF Climate Corps to communicate about successful initiatives.
- Contribute to edfclimatecorps.org by participating in content development and Web site design, and performing periodic Web site updates.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or a similar field.
- 1-2 years relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues and partners of varied backgrounds and experience.
- Experience with editing professional documents to a style guide and the ability to synthesize complex energy management terminology.
- Exceptional personal organization and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple assignments.
- An ability to work both independently and as a member of small teams.
- Proficiency in the use of IBM PCs, the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
- Familiarity with Sales force.
- Strong familiarity with a wide range of social media and online collaboration tools.
