Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Manager in Iran.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial set up is according to NRC standard and to support program implementation.
NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will perform the following functions-
- Ensure that country set up adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor and auditor requirements.
- Implement NRC’s financial systems, routines and procedures.
- Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows.
- Management of financial team.
- Training of line managers and staff with financial responsibilities.
- Provide regular analysis and reports.
- Implement anti-corruption policy and regular risk assessment.
- Participate and contribute to the discussions in the Country Management Group (CMG).
- Ensure the implementation of action points decided at the CMG.
- Contribute to the development of the Country Strategy and Plan of Action as well as donor proposals under leadership of the Country Director.
- Capacity building of the program team (CC Coordinators) in terms of budget writing, budget monitoring and control.
- Monthly updates of expenditure per CC and per donor to the CMG.
- Temporary responsibility of the HR functions through line management of the HR Officer.
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a senior Financial Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
- Experience with Administration and Human Resource Management is a plus.
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
- Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems.
- Demonstrated expertise with EC donors, namely ECHO and DEVCO, is mandatory.
- Successful experience of capacity building/coaching of a national team is required.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the refugee/displacement context in Iran and Afghanistan is a plus.
