Population Services International (PSI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Manager in Bamako, Mali.
PSI is a global health organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV and AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Program Manager will perform the following functions-
- Lead all WHP 4 budgets, budget reviews, and analysis.
- Lead; maintain relationships with WHP 4 CORE team, and the donor.
- Oversee all project budgets as requested by the Country Representative.
- Develop budgets to expand PSI Mali’s portfolio into new, high burden health areas.
- Write donor reports in English as required by the donor and PSI.
- Actively participate in PSI Mali Senior Management Team (SMT).
- Provide strategic input to the ProFam Franchise Network.
- Mentor national staff on project management, planning, reporting, deliverables tracking and budget design and management.
- Contribute to appropriate information sharing, dissemination, coordination and communication on project updates, innovations and achievements across all health areas.
- Represent PSI at relevant national and international meetings.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A master’s degree in a relevant subject (MPH, MBA, MIA, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field.
- At least five years international work experience including experience in program management.
- Experience working on Family Planning and Reproductive health projects.
- Experience working in private and non-profit institutions.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, QuickBooks, Lawson, or similar.
- Experience in capacity-building in a developing country.
- Familiarity with and understand marketing and/or social marketing concepts and approaches.
- Familiarity with and understand medical ethics principles.
- Willingness and able to work/address issues related to safe abortion.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
