As part of its corporate responsibility approach, the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan has announced the “Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program” for the year 2009. The themes to be addressed in the grant program are “Biodiversity Conservation” and “Global Warming Countermeasures,” which are considered to be of utmost importance in the current global warming crisis. There are actually two types grants under this program: general grants and small-scale grants. The general grants are given out only to those organizations that have been previously awarded by the program and they would continue receiving the support. The small-scale grants are available to NGOs in Japan only. The last date for submitting applications is 29 May 2009. For more information, visit this link.
