The Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) team is calling applications for CLP Awards 2015. The CLP award programme aims to help by offering training, awards and mentoring support.
Levels of CLP Awards 2015
- Future Conservationist Awards – This award will be granted to 18 (aprx.) teams carrying out high-priority conservation projects lasting between 3 and 12 months. Winning teams will receive grants of up to $12,500 as well as training and support throughout their projects.
- Conservation Follow-up Awards – This award will be granted to 2 teams of high potential early career conservationists. Grants of up to $20,000 and coaching support are available to teams addressing a conservation issue raised by recommendations in a project previously supported by CLP.
- Conservation Leadership Awards – This award will be granted to CLP project team that has received both Future Conservationist Awards and Conservation Follow-Up awards.
This partnership initiative including Flora and Fauna International, Birdlife International and Wildlife Conservation Society has been providing help to young conservations across the world for 30 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Only teams conducting projects in the following countries are eligible:
- Africa – Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Mozambique, South Africa
- Eurasia – Azerbaijan, Turkey
- Latin America & Caribbean – Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico
- Asia & Pacific – China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam
- Middle East – Georgia, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Oman, United Arab Emirates
How to Apply
- Applicants must submit full proposal by deadline.
- Applicants applying for Conservation Follow-up and Conservation Leadership Awards must also submit the Final Report of their previous CLP project and a Logical Framework enclosed with their application.
A representative from each award-winning team will be invited to attend an international training event in June/July 2015 organized by CLP to share ideas and develop skills, knowledge and contacts.
