Workshop is being organized on Risk prevention to improve the conservation of natural and cultural heritage, in accordance with provisions of the World Heritage Convention. This program is being supported by UNESCO, in collaboration with the African World Heritage Fund (AWHF), ICCROM, Ecole du Patrimoine Africain (EPA), the Centre for Heritage Development in Africa (CHDA) and the Nordic World Heritage Foundation (NWHF). This workshop will take place in Tunisia from 25 November to the 6 December 2013.

Objectives-
The main objective of the workshop is to give an overview of different aspects of Disaster risk management for cultural heritage properties. In particular, the training will enable participants to acquire the skills necessary to-
- Undertake an integrated risk assessment by analyzing the vulnerability of heritage cultural disaster risk
- Develop and implement risk management plans for cultural heritage correspond to the tools of local and regional planning and policies and plans disaster management
- Develop an integrated disaster risk management for heritage cultural, integrating prevention and risk mitigation interventions when emergency and disaster recovery
- Strengthen the network of professionals and community members who are able to in situ treatment challenges to prevention and risk management heritage properties World
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applications from women and members of those communities are encouraged.
- 15 participants will be selected to take part in the workshop. Participants must be affiliated with a World Heritage property. Participants may include site managers, members of the community, and other professionals (not necessarily in the heritage sector). The
