The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation was established in 2001 as an African community foundation. The foundation’s programs equip students in Africa’s primary schools, high schools and tertiary institutions with the knowledge and skills that every child deserves.
Coca-Cola Africa Foundation provides:
Quality Basic Education – Through a partnership with the Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation is establishing 132 learning centers in nine countries, benefitting over 200,000 students.
Scholarships – The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation’s partnership with the Zawadi Africa Education Fund is providing scholarships to academically gifted girls from disadvantaged backgrounds in Africa to pursue higher education in the United States at schools such as Yale, MIT and Harvard.
Transformational Leadership – The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation’s partnership with the Africa America Institute (AAI) is helping to provide scholarships to SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) and NGO (non-governmental organization) managers in Africa to pursue higher education in the United States, Canada, Kenya and South Africa at schools such as Yale, MIT and Harvard.
