European Union (EU) is inviting proposals on ‘Capacity Building at Higher Education Institutions in Tanzania in Development of Oil & Gas Sector’, the grant program that targets to promote links between European and Tanzanian Universities and other Institutes of Higher Education, in the oil and gas sector. The major objective of the grant program is to promote capacity building in Tanzanian institutions of higher education involved in the promotion of the petroleum industry.
Size of grants to request under this call range between €0.5m – €2m which must be 50% – 80% of the total cost of the proposed action. The action must take place in Tanzania or EU member state (one or more countries), and must complete within 36 months period.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal person of non-profit making organization established in a Member State of the European Union or ACP country or any other eligible countries as stipulated in the 2010 revision of the Cotonou Agreement.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Applicants must be a Higher Education University or Institution providing courses at undergraduate, graduate and/or doctoral level of higher education leading to a qualification recognized by the competent authorities in their own country; they may be called a “University” or bear other relevant name (e.g. Polytechnic, College, Institute, etc); and they must be accredited by relevant national authorities.
- Applicants must form a partnership or consortium containing at least one European Higher Education applicant and/or co-applicant and at least one Tanzanian Higher Education applicant and/or co-applicant.
