International Center for Human Development (IC4HD) is desire to invite applications from all eligible applicants for Human Development Fellowships program. The major aim of this program is to focus on well-defined aspect of human development under the theme of Social Security in the Global South.
This program encourage mid-career professionals to analyze critical development issues from the human development perspective.This is a residential fellowship offered at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, India, for the duration of 3 or 6 or 9 months.
The Fellowship offers the living expenses for the Fellows as well as a return airfare to their respective country of residence as per the most economical and direct route by air. Also, the selected fellows will receive an amount INR150,000 per month. The Fellowship also envisages the provision of a budget of up to a maximum of INR50,000 for attendance of a conference/a short course in India, if relevant with the fellowship focus and if it is approved by the IC4HD Director. Free furnished residential accommodation will be provided at IIAS.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must be a citizen of a country of selected countries of the global South
- Master degree in a relevant discipline is desirable
- Should be between 38 and 48 years of age (at the time of the closing date of the applications)
- Should have at least 10-12 years of relevant working experience
- Should not be a UN staff member or a Indian Institute of Advanced Study staff/fellow
