The African Innovation Foundation (AIF) is accepting entries from all African innovators for the fourth edition of the Innovation Prize for Africa (IPA) competition. The IPA honors and encourages innovative achievements that contribute toward developing new products, increasing efficiency or cost savings in Africa.
Investors, governments and other stakeholders interested in evaluating, investing and maximizing the continent’s resources are also highly encouraged to participate in the innovative and empowering initiative and make a significant change through generous contributions that will accelerate the Africa’s economic growth.
Prizes
- USD100,000 – Grand Prize for best submission
- USD25,000 – Second Prize for best commercial and business potential
- USD25,000 Additional award – Special Prize for best social impact in the community

Eligibility Criteria
- The proposed product must be unique and should have potential contribution to socio-economic development in Africa through increased efficiency and cost savings.
- The product must have originality, marketability, scalability, and social impact.
- In case of tangible technical/scientific products, the technical specifications must be grounded on established science and sufficiently address any anticipated product risks.
