The Mandela Rhodes Foundation invites the young individuals from all African countries pursuing post-graduate degree to apply for the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships.
The is more than an educational support; it is a chance to be part of leadership development programs, interact with diverse group of fellow-scholars, and become a part of a wide-ranging network of young Africans of excellence.
The Scholarship covers full funding of tuition, accommodation, meals, a book allowance, and a travel allowance for a period of two years. They become the members of Mandela Rhodes community active after the completion of residential scholarship program. The leadership development workshops held from time to time help the scholars greatly on their professional development.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant can be the national of any African countries.
- Applicant must be pursuing postgraduate study at a recognized South African University or tertiary institution (honors and masters degrees only).
- Applicants must be holding a recognized first degree and would be below 30 years of age at the time of taking up the scholarship.
- Applicant must demonstrate a commitment to the principles of education, reconciliation, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Applicants must provide a certified copy of their South African ID or passport attached to the application form; a transcript of your confirmed academic qualifications or certified copies of the degree; a summary list of any awards, prizes, fellowships or scholarships received and/or still receiving; scholarship essay (for shortlisted candidates only); a list of recent employment history; letter of endorsement from the Dean of Students or equivalent at the candidate’s institution of higher learning; a high resolution, color, head and shoulder image (photograph) of the candidate.
