The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is accepting joint proposal from the public/private partnerships (PPP) of governmental party, NGO or knowledge institution and private company on Facility for Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Food Security (FDOV) 2014. Proposals can be forwarded for food security- to improve local or regional availability of qualitatively good food and nutrition or sustainable entrepreneurship- inclusive business, evidently positively impacting low-income groups – employees, producers and entrepreneurs alike.
Projects on the theme Food Security should aim at improving market efficiency and sustainability of chains at least focused on national and regional markets; and projects on the theme Sustainable Entrepreneurship should aim at initiatives at stimulating women entrepreneurship along with inclusive business.
Grant request can range in between EUR500,000 and EUR3,000,000 for a maximum of 7 years duration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications must be made on a Public-Private partnership (PPP) that consists of at least one public body, one NGO or knowledge institution and one company.
- All parties involved in the partnership must have legal personality.
- At least one of the parties must have legal personality under Dutch law and must be registered in the Netherlands, and at least one party must have legal personality and must be registered in the country of implementation of the project.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is part of the partnership.
- The participation of multinational organizations is possible when at least one party with a yearly turnover of less than EUR 500 million participates as partner. This can be both a Dutch and a foreign company.
- Projects must explicitly pay attention to the position of women.
- Project must concern activities in at least one of the eligible countries.
- Projects may only be cross border if the economic necessity of cross border activities can be shown clearly.
- Applications in partner countries fit with the analyses of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as described in Multi-year Strategic Plans.
