Grant opportunity is offered for Improving the competitiveness of the sugar industry and reducing poverty in the sugar regions in Swaziland under Europe Aid. This opportunity aims-
- To improve the productivity and efficiency of small and medium scale sugarcane growers
- To improve the provision of social services in the sugar belt
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 19,500,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, private sector organisations, non-state actors, farmers’ associations, trusts
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or of the Kingdom of Swaziland or other eligible countries as stipulated in the Instrument for Development Cooperation – Accompanying Measure for Sugar Protocol Countries programme
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary
