The International Centre for Human Development (IC4HD) is currently accepting applications from the mid career or young professionals (academics, researchers, civil servants, and development practitioners) for its annual fellowship programme on human development. The Fellowship aims to strengthen South learning and experience sharing on human development practice and policy.
Venue and Duration
This residential fellowship programme duration is of three months (1 June-31 August 2015) which will be held at Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, India.

Focus Areas (not limited to)
- Analysis of human development initiatives in a country that should be related to social protection or any other theme relevant to human development;
- Analysis and documentation of innovative interventions for human development in developing countries;
- Undertake comparative analysis of human development policies across developing countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be mid-career professionals or young professionals (academics, researchers, civil servants, and development practitioners) from the above mentioned countries having a post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Mid-career professionals must be between 36-45 years while young professionals should be between 25-35 years of age.
- Minimum work experience must be of 10 years for mid career professionals and 3 years for young professionals.
- Applicant must be familiar with human development subject and should be proficient in English.
- Women will be given a preference.
- Fellows of Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla and staff members of both IIAS and the United Nations are not eligible to apply.

Applicants can submit their application via email. Other documents required with the application form are-
- Study proposal (not exceeding 600 words)
- A work plan that lists milestones over the three month Fellowship for completion of the work envisaged.
- Curriculum vitae
- Photocopy of the national passport (ensuring that it is valid for obtaining a visa for India).
- Names of two referees (designation, affiliation, address, email and telephone number should be indicated) from people who are familiar with your recent work. If employed, one of them should be the current supervisor.
