The Aan Oewer Service Centre is situated in Velddrif, South Africa. About 150km north from Cape Town along the West Coast.
The service centre primary purpose is the care of the elderly. We manage 3 programs, the first program is the cooking of well balance meals. The meals are daily deliver to the elderly. The second program is transport. We provide transport to hospitals, clinics and local shops and thirdly is the home base care program. The main purpose of this program is to keep the elderly as long as possible in their houses and community. They receive medical treatment in their homes, like bedwashes, taking of bloodpressures, taking of bloodsugar, hair and feet care.
The service centre is going to take on a fourth program, that is a feeding scheme. Nearly 800 – 1000 children per day need feeding. A South African bank sponsor the building of a new kitchen, and from the kitchen we can deliver the meals and soup to the children and elderly.
Velddrif, our town, is very small. Here lives about 4000 people. The mail income is fishing and farming. Because of the global resession and the cutting down on fishing industy, many more people need our services.
