African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET) Uganda
Mission: To generate activities which mobilize, build and strengthen youth and community participations in promoting Peace and Justice
Goal: Building a sustainable capacity among youth, communities and partner organizations to impact on the multilevel processes and awareness around social issues.
Vision: To build a generation of young leadership of model excellence, changemakers and architects that contributes to sustainable re-branding of Africa, through effective engagement in democratic processes, peace and uphold the basic human rights.
Our Values: Transparency, Integrity, Mentorship, Accountability, Supportiveness, Fairness, Optimism and Accessibility.
Commitment: Actions tailored to promote security and development for future generations, peace and tolerance, entrepreneurship, equality, justice, empowerment, hope, dignity and better quality life for people from all social background more especially the victims of conflict to help them escape from situations that leave them more vulnerable to health concerns.
Background information
African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET) is a network of African Youth movements, organizations, activists and individuals who are committed to make changes in the current situation of unequal opportunities in social, political, and economic spheres of participation in Africa. Founded in the year 2005, AYINET is an independent national not for profit youth organization, genuinely registered with the national board of the Non Governmental Organisation in Uganda at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Lira District NGO/CBO board (Lira is the host district for AYINET Uganda Chapter’s Secretariat)
AYINET’s presents Action Plan for 2009-2014, is believed to be the most expansive and ambitious plan, built on firm foundations of peace, improved sexual health, social stability and the progress of interrelated sustainable development lead by the young generations.

1: Youth Leadership Development
Inspiring the generation of youth leadership
1. Supportive networks and professional mentorship for skills and knowledge for young generation of leaders to manage their innovative projects.
2. To create opportunities for peer learning for, open dialogues for strengthening local democracy, human rights and promoting peace, reconciliation and justice.
3. Promote youth and community production and entrepreneurship for a renewed socio-economic competitiveness for poverty reduction.
Health and Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Improving the health and living condition of people from northern Uganda
1. To improve on the sexual reproductive health and impact on a healthy behavioral change among young people.
2. To facilitate rehabilitation for the patients who are the victims of conflicts, and living with critical medical needs to receive reconstructive surgery and psychosocial support.
3. Community Mobile Medicine Programme to improve access to curative and preventive health services.
