The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is currently seeking concept notes from NGOs under the “Public-Private Alliances Related to Governing Justly & Democratically, Peace & Security, and Investing in People in Russia.” The overall purpose of this funding call is to explore and use the resources and skills of NGOs, the private sector and the local government for effective addressal of developmental needs in the country and also enhance the financial sustainability/diversity of NGOs. The concept notes should demonstrate the strong partnerships between NGOs and the private sector for addressing the following thematic objectives:
(1) Cooperation between civil society, government and business to advance local economic and social development.
(2) Improved entrepreneurship in the North Caucasus in the areas of agriculture, and small and medium enterprises.
(3) Improved private sector involvement in combating tuberculosis and improving the health and well-being of women, children and youth.
