ESDF is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization working in Armenia for the past 7 years to contribute to community development, poverty alleviation, and strengthening civil society. The leading principle of ESDF is that the impact of any development is significant only when it supports local initiatives and is based on the grassroots active involvement. ESDF is focused on increasing people’s participation through providing equal access to information, education and use of resources.
VISION: ESDF seeks to ensure local communities of Armenia are a safe and comfortable place for every person to live and work.
MISSION: To enhance civil society strengthening process by supporting self-sustainable development of local communities of Armenia.
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS:
1.Involving, empowering and capacitating marginalized groups in the target communities, especially women and youth.
2.Improving the quality of life in target communities through sustained education and health promotion for own health and of the environment
3.Creation of an enabling environment for participation of target communities/community groups
