Applications are open for Google RISE Awards for nonprofit organizations worldwide that will promote computer science education opportunities.
The focus of the RISE Awards program is to support computer science (CS) initiatives and it will also encourage interest and excitement in CS fields.
RISE Award recipients will receive:
- Funding Grants range from $10,000 to $25,000 USD.
- Access to a global network of CS partners, this includes participation in the Google+ online community and opportunities to connect with other RISE award winners.
- Learning resources from Google experts and volunteers: Learn about technical tools & organizational development over the course of 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- RISE Awards are limited to not-for-profit organizations with charitable registration status or a fiscal sponsor from one of the countries, given on the website.
- Previous RISE awardees may apply if adding a new dimension to former programs or launching a new CS program.
- Focus on girls, underrepresented minorities, and low-income students Programs must serve girls, underrepresented minorities, or underserved students up to the age of 18.
- Programs should have regional reach (city, county or state) with the potential to scale through programmatic expansion or have a broader reach by sharing information nationally and internationally.
- Organizations should have a track record that the program can be executed as described.
