Prerana is an all women organization created in 2006 by a group of nepalese women coming from different ethnic groups and with different backgrounds.
We decided to put our efforts and our savings together to offer a better future for women and children of our country.
Our activities include a Kindergarden, where children from 9 months to 5 years old can enjoy a child-friendly environment, attend english class, express their hidden talents by painting, drawing and colouring.
Besides this permanent activity we also organize workshops, training days and healthcare days for women.
In particularly last year we offered the chance to women of our community to sell their handicrafts in a christmas market organized within our premises; we coordinated a healthcare day focused on cervical cancer with a specialist in this area, during which women have received a class on prevention, diagnosis and cure and free check-up in an awarded clinic.
Prerana organization is totally self-financed, no grants have been received from external donors but only from our members.
We are willing to do more for our women and children, that is why we are looking forward to built partnerships with like-minded organization in Nepal but also in any part of the world, to share best practices, experiences and
improve our projects.
