Search and Groom is a non-governmental and non-partisan organisation, is committed to indigent people’s development and rehabilitation. It has a mandate to defend, protect and promote universally recognised human rights in Nigeria, in accordance with international human rights standards. These objectives are pursued through research and publications, campaigns, human rights education and self-empowerment projects.
It seeks to provide capacity building programmes, training, rehabilitation, employment, sports and recreation opportunities for Nigerians without bias while accepting the diversity of sports; we believe it is a human right and an ideal learning ground for life’s essential skills. We acknowledge the possibilities and values sport offers.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of Search and Groom is far and wide beyond the shores of Nigeria. Our immediate overall objective is to create a more permanent and financially self sustaining slums and communities in Nigeria.
With expanded educational, sports and cultural activities, in community self help projects and leadership training programmes by and for the youths of these communities as a viable model, inspiration and source of expertise for youth self help projects in poor urban and rural communities in Nigeria.
