The Development Communication Initiative of Uganda(DCIU) is a legally registered Ugandan NGO (Certificate no. 7215) established to promote social development among the various communities in Uganda by sharing and disseminating information on key areas related to health, gender, social development, education, environmental protection and economic development among other social issues.
Mission
To improve the lives of communities by providing them with relevant information in the areas of health, gender empowerment, education and social development among others using multiple communication strategies.
Vision
We envisage a country with citizens who are informed, empowered and healthy with the ability to sustain itself socially and economically.
Key Objectives:
1.To enhance social and economic development of societies by providing information that enhances the health and the well being of all Ugandans.
2.To create capacity within the community that will sustain positive behaviour change especially among women, the youth, and other members of society.
3.To create firm ground for new and developmental projects within the community through publicity and dissemination of success stories to other societies.
