Action Aid has invited applications from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Project Manager: Strengthening women’s collectives in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Location of this job will be based in South Asia, preferably in Nepal.
Desired Skills & Experience
- The ideal candidate will need to have a postgraduate qualification and at least 5 years experience working in an international agency / across countries on women’s rights, local markets and agriculture.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of developing, planning, managing and reporting on complex multi-country institutional donor-funded (including European Commission) projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of both policy issues and programme practice on women’s rights and women’s economic empowerment.
- Strong networking/relationship-building skills- ability to anticipate, coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues, ability to understand and synthesize diverging points of view and resolve conflicts without escalation.
- Ability to negotiate and influence to get results without formal line management authority.
- Basic skills in commissioning and managing applied research to inform development practice and/or to influence decision-makers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to inform and engage through written communication
- High capacity for work output in order to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities
- A strong commitment to develop, promote and practice AAI’s vision, mission, values, and strategy Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Energetic, enthusiastic and interested in learning within a political, changing and diverse work environment
