Job Description:
We are presently implementing a WGT e.V Germany funded project on ending violence on women in some selected communities in Northern Ghana. In view of this we are in need of interns or researchers interested in this area to work with us for at least 2- 6 months. Internship will warrant constants movement into remote communities to build the capacity of women on issues related to their rights, meet with traditional chiefs, village elites and other stakeholders to advocate and document issues related to violation of women’s rights in our target communities. Internship is free but before arrival you are requested to fundraise the sum of £550 to support the expansion of our women’s rights programmes in Northern Ghana. We will arrange your accommodation, take care of your security, assist in your movement to the field and introduce you to your country’s Diplomatic Mission to be aware of your present in-country in case of an emergency.
