Introduction
Youth are the backbone of any nation, and their physical, mental, and social development is essential for long-term progress. However, in many rural and semi-urban areas, access to proper sports infrastructure remains limited. Lack of playgrounds, equipment, and trained coaches prevents young people from participating in sports and benefiting from its positive impacts. This proposal aims to establish community-based sports infrastructure to promote youth development, social inclusion, and healthy lifestyles.
Problem Statement
In many communities, especially underserved regions, there is a shortage of safe and accessible sports facilities. Schools often lack proper playgrounds, and public spaces are either unavailable or poorly maintained. As a result, youth spend more time on sedentary activities, leading to health issues such as obesity, stress, and lack of discipline.
Additionally, the absence of sports opportunities reduces youth engagement, increasing the risk of negative behaviors such as substance abuse and social isolation. Girls and marginalized groups face even greater barriers due to cultural norms and safety concerns.
