The Asia Journalism Foundation is giving Asia Journalism Fellowship (AJF) to boost the Fellows’ competency and their commitment, through intense seminars and workshops in Singapore from 2 June to 22 August 2015.
The Fellowship brings together 15 journalists from across Asia for three months. A stipend of S$1,500 per month along with visa, accommodation, and other facilities will be given to the fellows’. It is supported by Temasek Foundation and Nanyang Technological University.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Residing in Asia.
- At least five years of professional journalism experience, not including student journalism.
- Currently working as a journalist. Freelancers are eligible, if journalism is the candidates’ main activity.
- Able to operate in English. A telephonic interview will be conducted to test the candidates’ English proficiency.
- Employers’ permission is necessary.
Important documents required:
- Completed application form.
- Employer’s letter of support (not required for freelancers).
- 3 letters of recommendation.
- 3-5 samples of past work.
- Signed Data Privacy form.
