The Asian Women in Business Scholarship is inviting Asian female students in order to encourage and support their scholarship, leadership, community service and/ or entrepreneurship. The scholarship is for the females who have the attributes to be the next generation of leaders.
Asian Women in Business (AWIB) is the only non-profit, tax-exempt organization in the country with the primary mission of assisting Asian women entrepreneurs.
AWIB’s mission is to address the identified needs and issues affecting the business and professional development of Asian Americans.
Award Information
- Each winner will receive $2,500
- One or two applicants may be considered for an additional $2,500 (a total of $5,000) if qualified as lower income and if funds are available
- Awards will be expected to be applied towards tuition and other education-related expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates for the scholarship must be female of Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Candidate must also fulfill the following criteria:
- Have at least one or more of the following:
- demonstrated a leadership role in a community endeavor
- a record of entrepreneurial achievement.
- Enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S. at the time of application and award.
- Carry a minimum of 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA at the time of application.
- Provide the most recent college transcript; semi-finalists will be required to provide their official college transcript
- Provide a minimum of one professional recommendation.
- Fully complete and sign the AWIB Scholarship Application.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Have at least one or more of the following:
