If you are an NGO (non-governmental organization) working for the economic development of Asian people, you can make your sustainable with the funds from The Asia Foundation. The Asia Foundation addresses the critical issues the Asian countries are facing. The foundation accepts letter of interest from any non-governmental organizations based outside of the United States and working for economic development, women’s empowerment, environment, good governance, law and justice, conflict and fragile conditions and others.

How to Apply?
- Submit a brief Letter of Inquiry on the proposed project to appropriate office. The letter of inquiry must be headed to the country office where the applicant is based and the target location for the proposed project.
- The Foundation staff replies informing whether the proposed project fits the Asia Foundation’s interests.
- If it does, the applicant will be either asked to submit a formal proposal or asked for clarification regarding the proposed project.
- The decision on grant making will be made after reviewing the formal proposal and conducting necessary evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant is (mostly) made to organizations in Asia.
- Individuals can not apply for the grant.
- Organization based in USA are not eligible to apply.
- The letter of inquiry must include a very brief introduction about the grant-seeking organization, a brief project description, and budget estimate.
