The Organising Committee of the Gender Summit Asia Pacific is inviting research manuscript submissions from innovation leaders and other R&D stakeholders on strategies, methodologies and best practices to put gender equality into action in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine. Selected applicants will be invited to present and/or publish their work on the latest advances at the ‘coalface’ of gender research.
The theme for this year’s Gender Summit Asia-Pacific is Better Science & Technology for Creative Economy: Enhancing Societal Impact through Gendered Innovations in Research, Development and Business.
The summit will be held from 27–28 August 2015 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, with an optional pre-summit programme on August 26.
Conference Sub Themes
Themes of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Improving research excellence though gendered innovations
- Creating collaborative alliances to advance gender-aware STEMM research and innovations
- Improving diversity of STEM talents in research and innovations
- Gender based curriculum innovations in college & graduate school level
- Improving diversity of STEM talents: K-12 programs
- Responding to public aspirations for societal improvement through gender aware technologies
- Developing leadership capacity for gendered innovations through interconnected networks of female scholars
Eligibility Criteria
- Researchers, innovation leaders and other R&D stakeholders are eligible to submit manuscripts on strategies, methodologies and best practices to put gender equality into action in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM).
- Applicants must possess a valid passport to attend the Gender Summit 6 Asia Pacific 2015 to be held in Republic of Korea.
How to Register?
- Abstracts can be submitted for consideration using the submission template on the website.
- Before submission, applicants must register for the conference using the online portal tool on the website.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by the International Program Scientific Committee for inclusion in the Summit programme and in the Summit publication.
- Selected abstracts will be invited to produce a full paper for publication in the Summit proceedings.
