Visiting doctoral Fellowships
This program aims to encourage Doctoral students who have already registered for their Ph.Ds in academic programs from select Asian countries to visit IGIDR for a period of up to a maximum of 12 months to undertake part of their thesis research or fortify their knowledge through additional course work or add a new dimension to their research. The research proposal should involve economic issues, particularly those related to Labor Market and Industrial Policy.
These scholarships are for a maximum period of twelve months during which the candidates will complete at least one major essay of their theses at IGIDR, which would be published as IGIDR working paper after review.
Benefits
- A scholarship of INR 26000 per month.
- One round trip travel expense up to a maximum of INR 50000

Eligibility Criteria
The applicants should possess a Masters degree in any field and be registered for Ph.D. on a topic broadly involving any area of economics at any of the universities/accredited academic programs located in above target Asian countries.
Post-doctoral program
Post-Doctoral fellowships are available for scholars from the target countries, either newly graduated Ph.D. candidates (within two years of successful submission of their dissertations) or junior faculty, who have submitted their Ph.D. dissertations or obtained Ph.D. degrees with an outstanding academic training.

- Conference travel support up to a maximum of INR 150000.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicants, preferably within the age limit of 35 years, should be either fresh Ph.D. (within two years of successful submission of their dissertations) or junior faculty, who have submitted their Ph.D. dissertations or obtained Ph.D. degrees with an outstanding academic training and record in the broad area of Economics, and particularly, Inclusive Development with special emphasis on Labor Markets and Industrial Policy.
