Nominations are open for the 13th annual Platts Global Energy Awards aimed at honoring and recognizing those who have transcended the status quo in the name of leadership, innovation and performance. The 2011 Platts Global Energy Awards will be announced on December 1, 2011 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, NY.

Nominations are accepted in the following categories:
CEO of the year; Commercial Technology of the Year; Community Development Program of the Year; Construction Project of the Year; Deal of the Year; Downstream Operation of the Year; Energy Comapny of the Year; Energy Efficiency Program of the Year; Energy Producer of the Year; Engineering Project of the Year; Green Energy Generator of the Year; Industry Leadership Award; Lifetime Achievement Award; Petrochemical and Blendstock Innovation Award; Power Company of the Year; Rising Star Award – Company; Rising Star Award – Individual; and Sustainable Technology Innovation of the Year.
General Information about the Platts Global Energy Awards
– Each award is allocated specific judging criteria, and many awards share similar criteria which are available at the Platts site.
– No company may be nominated for more than one award on substantially the same basis.
– The winners of individual awards (CEO of the Year, Rising Star Award – Individual and Lifetime Achievement Award) are required to attend the Global Energy Awards Dinner to accept their award in person.
– Winners will not be notified prior to the Global Energy Awards event; however all nominations must be accompanied by the name of the person who will be the accepting the award if the nominee is chosen as the winner.
– Each winner is expected to accept their award on stage at the awards ceremony December 1, 2011 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
