“IDEA OF THE YEAR’’ CHALLENGE 2011 seeks to distinguish employees and organizations for their most considerable ideas implemented during the calendar year 2010. The only condition is that shortlisted finalists must be able to attend the Ideas.Arabia annual conference to present their idea & should send at least one member to present the idea to the judging panel and there is no entry fee. Shortlisted teams must send at least one member to present the idea to the judges. The winning categories will be renowned and cherished at the award presentation ceremony on 10 May 2011. The criteria is to clearly categorize the problem and the solution, provide a brief summary of the idea (35 words or less).
Terms & conditions
1. The closing date for entries is 14th April 2011.
2. The judges have absolute discretion and their decision is final. No further correspondence will be entertained.
3. Entries can be submitted in one of the following two ways:
a. Four hard copies, with each copy including the main application and all the necessary supporting materials (photographs, technical reports drawings, statistical information, spreadsheets, technical reports, press releases etc.)
b. A single PDF file which includes the main application and all the supporting documentation in the same file. Multiple files for the same application will not be accepted.
4. Competition entries, including names of suggestors cannot be amended following submission of the idea.
5. Submissions must clearly identify the initial problem and the solution provided by the suggestions. All benefits, tangible or intangible must be highlighted. Financial benefits must be supported with evidence.
6. All entries must be submitted under the name of the employing organization. The ideas must have been implemented and the benefit to their organization clearly identified.
7. Shortlisted finalists must be available to attend the Ideas.Arabia conference to present the idea to the judging panel.
8. Ideas.Arabia will arrange the final judging timetable. Finalists must be available at their allotted time.
9. Ideas.Arabia may publish details of any idea submitted.
10. Ideas.Arabia will acknowledge receipt of all entries.
