The Acer Incredible Green Contest is an annual environment protection as well as enhancement competition sponsored by Acer Foundation. This competition is designed to promote and collect innovative ideas of green- centric applications. As the global climate and environment continue to change, it is essential to create sustainable solutions that embrace energy saving, ecological conservation, carbon reduction and other crucial environmental issues. Moreover, the contest aims to emphasize the importance of increasing awareness and caring for a green environment among the general public.
Awards and Prizes:
· Golden Award (1) – US$60,000
· Silver Award (2) – US$35,000
· Bronze Award (4) – US$20,000
· Special Jury Award (TBA) – US$10,000
Finalists will be granted a complementary trip to Taipei, Taiwan and a visit to COMPUTEX 2013.The panel of judges is made up of numbers of industry experts and academic scholars.
Eligibility:
· Students of all ages worldwide
· Students who are registered at an accredited institution prior to October 31, 2012
· Individual contestants and teams are all welcome
· A maximum number of 5 members for each competing team
