The Angel Oak Fund is a new investment firm focused exclusively on offering undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates with innovative services which support them on their path to realize their full potential.
Their vision is for all students and recent graduates to be able to pursue their dreams without excessive student debt, lack of resources or limited career opportunities. To this end, the fund manages programs which aim towards institutional change that supports, rather than extracts value from, tomorrow’s leaders.
Prize Opportunity: Selected startups will receive seed stage funding ranging from a few thousand dollars up to $50,000 in a variety of forms ranging from grant to equity investments. All founders will also enter an exclusive network made up of peer entrepreneurs and mentors.
Criteria:
Undergraduate, graduate students, or recent graduates based out of the United States, who completed a degree in the past 2 years and have a profitable new venture with high impact on a local, national, or global scale. Projects from all sectors and disciplines from the arts to zoology are encouraged to apply, particularly if the venture was developed from research, a class project or a senior thesis. An emphasis will be placed on profitable startups which have a measurable social or environmental impact.
