Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York (ACR-GNY) is seeking papers from undergraduate, graduate and law students for student writing competition. The main goal of the competition is to create greater interest in the field of conflict resolution among students throughout North America and to enrich the ADR community with the energy and talent of those doing scholarly research at various academic levels.
First place winners from each of the academic programs (UG, G and Legal Degree) are announced and invited to present their work at the 2014 ACR-GNY Annual Conference, to be held on 19 June 2014 in New York City.
First place papers will receive –
- Cash Prize – $500.00
- Free admission to the conference for the author
- An invitation for the author to present the paper at the conference
- Publication of the paper on the ACR-GNY website
- One year membership to ACR-GNY
Eligibility Criteria –
- All students of higher education attending school in North America during the academic year of 2013/2014 are eligible to apply. They must be either undergraduate, graduate (non-legal masters or doctorate degree) or law students.
- Applicant must either be enrolled in a school in Canada, United States, or Mexico; or have a permanent residence in Canada, United States, or Mexico.
- Submitted papers should meaningfully speak to issues and topics arising in the field of conflict resolution.
