The Amy Biehl Foundation organises the fifth annual Youth Spirit Award in Association with CCN. Nominations for this annual award are based on evidence of the nominee’s initiative and dedication in service to others. The Award goes to young people who are already making a difference. Their hope is to challenge them to greater heights of service through the recognition of the Award and exposure to Amy Biehl’s life and work.
Fifth annual Youth Spirit Award event on 23 August 2012 in Cape Town.
The winner of this award will receive a floating trophy and a R5 000 bursary towards tuition at an institution of their choice.
Eligibility-
- Young people ages 14-19 (at the time of nomination) are eligible;
- Nominee must have done voluntary community work, service or outreach within the last 12 months;
- Individuals only. No groups may be nominated.
