The Challenge future Summit 2012 will be organized at IEDC-Bled School of Management in Bled, Slovenia from March 16th to 22nd, 2012.
A group of 80 outstanding individuals under the age of 30 will join their hands together with educators, business and political leaders to explore the global agenda and share their solutions at this summit. This Challenge future (C:F) Summit will consider crucial challenges facing the world today including the global youth unemployment crisis, social entrepreneurship, challenges in education and the role of business in society, all under the theme of this year’s Summit Towards Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Future.
The Summit will bring together the best of C:F youth community, will host the Grand Finals of the C:F Competition 2011-12, and will serve as the pinnacle of all activities and projects of the Challenge future global youth think-tank in 2011-12, whereby more than 22,500 youth from 213 countries and territories, created 1.469 innovative ideas, invested 210,000 volunteering hours into their implementation, and improved lives of 270,000 children, youth, and adults worldwide.
At the heart of the think tank’s efforts is the challenge future global youth competition – the leading worldwide web-based contest built on the principles of radical inclusiveness and open innovation. The main competition is complemented with a range of quick challenges – focused and daring contest run in partnership with pioneering organizations around the globe.
The competition concludes with a face-to-face challenge future Summit, a life-changing event connecting the most innovative youth, pioneering businesses, policy leaders and other change makers in dialogue, reflection, and action. The thinking, creation, and dialogue then continue on the pages of the Future Book, an annual community-authored collection of provocative expert ideas and intuitive youth foresight.
