The civil society activists and organizations around the world are invited for the CIVICIS Innovation Awards 2014. The individuals/organizations will be awarded for their excellence, innovation, and brave risk-taking.

In the first round, 5 (five) nominees in each category will be shortlisted. These shortlisted nominees will be contacted to submit additional documents. One shortlisted nominee per category will be selected in the second round announcing total 3 (three) winners.
Prizes
- US$4025 each to the three winners
- Round trip airfare to Johannesburg worth $1600
- International Civil Society Week registration fees worth $200 Waived
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominee can be any individual or civil society organization (including, but not limited to, non-profit, non-governmental, socially responsible and/or voluntary organizations and movements) that take an interest in the affairs of civil society and campaigns for positive social change.
- Entrants must have run an innovative campaign for positive social change during the last year (1 July 2013 – 30 June 2014).
- Entry must be made in one of the above mentioned categories.
- For Youth Activist category, applicant must be between the ages of 18-30 by 1 November 2014.
- For Individual Activist category, applicant must be over the age of 30 by 1 November 2014.
- For organization category, applicant’s activities and campaign must have occured during the period of 1 July 2013 – 30 June 2014. Applicant must be a civil society organization.
- Entrant cannot be a member of the Civic Space Initiative or individual who is otherwise involved with the 2014 CIVICUS Innovation awards, whether s/he be an officer, director, employee, or independent contractor.
