European youth video Competition “Generation ’92” provides the opportunity for young Europeans born in 1991, 1992 or 1993 to make a video presenting their vision of a sustainable future. The topic for the competition is “What is your vision for sustainable living in 20 years’ time?”
The competition is open to extensive approaches as contestants are free to choose journalism or fiction, live action or animation, interviews or images. In case, the films are in a language other than English, they must have English subtitles.
Participants who show the most innovative ideas and creative communication styles will travel to the EEA headquarters in Copenhagen, where they will receive cash prizes at an awards ceremony on 5 June 2012. There will be an additional prize for the public’s favorite in the Buzz Prize. All shortlisted entries will be open for the public’s vote through social media.
- 1st place: €3000 and plaque
- 2nd place: €2000 and plaque
- 3rd place: €1000 and plaque
- Buzz Prize winner: plaque
The jury will comprise distinguished journalists, communication professionals, environmentalists and media industry experts.
The winners will be invited to take part in an event on sustainable development in Copenhagen on 5 June. The best entries will also win a total of €6,000 in cash prizes. Entries may be submitted between 1 March and 2 April.
