Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is currently inviting applications for Hilton Humanitarian Prize 2015. The Award is presented to organizations who have made extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.
Being world’s largest humanitarian award, it not only recognize and advance the efforts of the recipient organization, but also to call attention to the worldwide need for humanitarian aid and to encourage others to expand their support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees must be organizations, not individuals.
- Nominees must be established, non-governmental, publicly supported charitable organizations. U.S. Internal Revenue Service tax-exempt status—or the equivalent for international organizations—will determine eligibility. (International nominees will be contacted by the Foundation for appropriate documentation.)
- Nominees must be legally established for at least five years in order to be considered.
- Nominees must have audited financial statements and an operating budget (expenditures) greater than U.S. $750,000.
- An organization that has received a single grant of $1.5 million or more from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation must wait one year following last payment before being eligible for nomination.
How to Apply
- Applicants must apply online through the website.
- The nomination letter itself should be addressed to the “Hilton Humanitarian Prize Jury” and uploaded online.
- Applicants must scan the letter as a PDF document or include an electronic signature in your Word file.
Note: The nominee will be asked to upload an annual report or brochure and the latest financial statement (in U.S. dollars). All materials submitted must be in English.
