The Fondazione Giordano Dell’Amore is promoting the Microfinance Best Practices International Award 2011, which aims to increase the understanding of the importance of microfinance as a tool to fight poverty and social exclusion and to encourage microfinance practitioners to share good and transferable practices.
The topic of the Award is ““Transparency, Client protection and Social impact”. The Microfinance Best Practices “International Award”, promoted by Fondazione Giordano Dell’Amore is open to any institution or organization from any developing or transition country outside Europe involved in the delivery of microfinance and related services for at least 12 months since the application date.
The Award winner will receive 50.000,00 euro. The funds must be devoted to the realization of new projects or towards core business expenses.
The winner will be chosen by the Award Committee and announced during the Conference and Award Ceremony, scheduled for the Fall 2011.
Applicants are required to complete the Application Form (First Section and Second Section) in one of the accepted languages (English, Spanish and French) and send it to the by June 15th, 2011 (the date considered will be the date of receipt of the documents by the Fondazione Giordano Dell’Amore).
