The Trust Women Awards accepts nominations of exceptional individuals who have provided real solutions to some of the challenges faced by women worldwide and raised awareness of women’s rights issues globally. The individuals who have performed prolific activist work in the areas of human rights and women’s equality, and whose bold thinking and high-impact work has helped women defend and advance their rights can be the nominated for the award.
The Trust Women Hero will be honored with $5,000 cash prize on the Trust Women conference to be held during 18 & 19 November 2014 in London. The Trust Women Hero Award nominees are judged on their leadership and the impact, scalability, and groundbreaking nature of their work.

- Cash Prize worth $5,000
- Acknowledgement of work on the Thomson Reuters Foundation and Trust Women Conference websites
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominations can be made by the public.
- Self nominations are also accepted.
- Nominee must be a women who has provided real solutions to some of the challenges faced by women worldwide and raised awareness of women’s rights issues globally.
Note: During the conference, the Trust Women Journalist Award recognizing a journalist whose coverage of women’s rights issues make significant contribution is also made. The Trust Women Journalist Award nominees are judged on the impact of their work, the extent to which they shed light on a pressing under-reported problem or issue and whether their reporting required significant enterprise or courage.
