Casa Asia invites nominations from individuals, institutions or entities from Spain or the Asia-Pacific Region for the 2011 CasaAsia Award.
The Award is open for nominations from individuals and entities that have been involved in working towards the main objectives of the organization that include improving the knowledge, dialogue and relations between the societies of the Asia-Pacific Region and Spain. The Casa Asia Award is granted in recognition of people, institutions and organizations that have encouraged these objectives and/or have worked for the dignity and human rights of the people in the Asia-Pacific region.
Highlights of 2011 Casa Asia Award
The Award carrying a cash prize of 6,000 euros is granted annually in order to distinguish individuals, institutions and organizations that have excelled in promoting awareness, dialogue and harmony among societies of Spain and the Asia Pacific region and/or have made outstanding work for the dignity and human rights in the region.
Nominations can be presented by individuals, institutions or entities from Spain or the Asia-Pacific Region. Candidates can be either individuals or institutions from these areas too.
Proposals must properly document the natural or legal personality of the applicant and the merits of the candidate.
The Award can be granted ex aequo. It can also be declared void, in which case, its endowment will not accumulate. It can be granted posthumously. The decision will be unappealable. The Award will be given in an event organized by Casa Asia.
