The Electronic Publishing Trust (EPT) is seeking nominations for the award aimed at recognizing the individuals in developing countries working for open access (OA).
This annual award is open for individuals in developing and transition countries who have made significant advances to the cause of open access and the free exchange of research findings. Individuals or organizations may nominate themselves or others.
About the Electronic Publishing Trust
EPT, a UK registered charitable trust, was established in 1996 to facilitate open access to the world’s scholarly literature and to support the electronic publication of reviewed bioscience journals from countries experiencing difficulties with traditional publication.
Aims of EPT include supporting scholarly publishing in the developing world and facilitating access to research information, particularly through open access. The Electronic Publishing Trust for Development works with developing country scientists and publishers to improve access to the world’s research literature and to raise the visibility of research findings published in developing countries.
