The Future for Nature that celebrates tangible achievements in protecting wild animal and plant species is open for nominations. The major aims of the award are to – reward and fund individuals for their outstanding efforts in the protection of species of wild animals and plants; stimulate Award winners to sustain their dedicated work; help winners to raise their profile, extend their professional network and strengthen their funding basis. Future for Nature supports young, talented and ambitious conservationists committed to protecting species of wild animals and plants.
Total ten nominees will be selected from among the total nominations made. These nominees will be requested to provide further information (written info, photos, information for the website, film of 5 minutes) and final three winners will be selected.

The Award aims to stimulate the work of the winners. It is not an “end of career” prize.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominee should not be older than 35 years on 30th of April 2015.
- Nominee must have achieved substantial and long term benefit to the conservation status of one or more animal and/or plant species or that of a specific population of one or more animal and/or plant species.
- Nominee must have demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship in her/his conservation work. S/he must have been creative and innovative in her/his work and must have applied cost-effective approach.
- Candidates with Work related to the conservation and protection of endangered species (IUCN’s Red List) are given priority.
- Nominee must be determined to continue her/his conservation work.
- The prize must be used for a conservation project (of the winners’ own choice).
